          A.1. Administrative

Statutory:
Comprises regulations, laws, and official publications mandated by state and/or central authorities, e.g. acts, gazettes.

Regulatory:
Encompasses agreements, contracts, and documents related to compliance and organizational structure within Auroville.

Working Groups:
Pertains to communication and collaboration among Residents’ Assembly committees and various groups within Auroville.

          A.2. Planning & Development

Regional Plan:
Documents detailing long-term development objectives and strategies for specific regions within Auroville, including bioregion, AV sub-region, and Irumbai. These documents include development strategies, land use plans, and infrastructure development proposals.

Master Plan:
– Master Plan documents
– Sudies on Master Plan which are commissioned by planning authorities of Auroville
– Monitoring, evaluation, and communication materials related to master plan.

Development Plan:
– Detailed development plans
– Existing situation assessment and proposals for specific development projects which are commissioned by regulatory authorities of Auroville
– Monitoring, evaluation, and communication materials related to development plan.

Studies:
Individual or partnered studies including historical, reflective research, proposals, reports, assessments, mappings, etc.

         A.3. Reference

– External media publications on Auroville; e.g. interview with Roger in JIIA
– Legal and statutory documents which indirectly influence Auroville; e.g. Tamil Nadu T&CP Act; CPWD Works Manual. (thisdiffers from the Statutory document type which directly addresses Auroville matters)
– Studies and publications which do not address Auroville but may be beneficial for Auroville to refer to.

B. Keywords

Brainstorming: Informal documents by individuals or groups discussing Auroville issues, including recommendations/suggestions/proposals.
Communication: Reports from organizations or legal entities to the public.
Letter: Correspondence documents, including emails.
Media & Journal: Articles published in external media (internal media have separate keywords, e.g. AV Today, AV News, etc.)
Reflective: Studies reflecting individuals’ subjective insights into a topic.
